UNFPA-KOICA signed to launch the CFP Programme

The UNFPA, with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is launching the Conflict-affected and Fragile countries supporting Programme(CFP).

The United Nations’ Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency, UNFPA, with generous support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), is launching the Conflict-affected and Fragile countries supporting Programme(CFP).

a 32.7 million USD programme will save lives by providing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services and gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response bringing support in some of the most challenging humanitarian settings today including 6 countries in the African Region and the Middle East: Central African Republic, Mali, Somalia, South Sudan, Lebanon, and Palestine.

The three-year programme aims to directly benefit more than 1,467,043 people and indirectly 2,307,022 million people, which will be able to support 1,349,993 million women and girls (92.02% of the total direct beneficiaries) in those six countries.

Key actions of the programme include offering SRH services such as antenatal, postnatal, and safe delivery support. Additionally, it provides specialized GBV case management and psychosocial support.
